In 1973 a group of surfers, led by Ricardo Bouroncle, were searching for a better wetsuit for surfing in the waters off the coast of their native Peru. Unsatisfied with the products available on the market Ricardo set out to develop his own interpretation of what a wetsuit should be, and Boz was formed.

Ricardo, a competitive surfer with experience at breaks around the world, designed Boz wetsuits from the beginning with the demands of an athlete as the first priority. Flexibility, warmth, comfort, and strength were and will always be the prime considerations for Boz.
